Pupils Enthral Audience at Jazz and Swing Evening

Four talented senior school performers were invited to entertain for guests at the annual Elms Jazz and Swing Evening last week.

King’s were the final act at the black‑tie event, bringing the evening to an incredible close with a captivating reprise of songs from last term’s senior musical, Chicago.

Bella C, Flo S and Amelia W enthralled the audience with powerful renditions of All That Jazz, Funny Honey, I Can’t Do It Alone, My Own Best Friend, and Cell Block Tango. Their confident movement around the room, combined with exceptional vocal and acting ability, created an immersive performance that wowed the audience.

The show band were also on top form, relishing the chance to perform the musical’s repertoire once again and providing outstanding accompaniment throughout.

The evening raised more than £2,000 for Dementia UK, marking another successful and memorable edition of this much‑loved event.
